I've got my hands on the new Sony DCR-DVD7 DVD camcorder for review. Over the coming weeks I will be testing the DCR-DVD7 and feeding my impressions back here. If you have any questions about the DCR-DVD7 add a comment below and I'll try to answer them.
First impressions are good. The ergonomic design makes this dvd camcorder as easy to use as a digital camera. You just point and shoot.
There's no viewfinder - you frame your shots with a large LCD display on the back of the camcorder.
I've never tried a DVD camcorder before and wasn't sure if it would offer advantages over a tape based camcorder. Well, there is one feature that really leaps out - the ability to randomly access the scenes you have shot is excellent. No more rewinding back and forwards through tapes or accidentally recording over previous footage.
